## Narrative

An employee was unloading steel poles from a trailer. The employee was on the trailer during the rigging, trying to locate the center gravity of the poles. Once he located the center gravity, he went to the other side of the trailer to get off. He lost his balance, slipped, and grabbed one of the rebar supports on the trailer. At that time, the operator began lifting the pole upward. As the pole was lifted, it swung toward the injured employee and caught his right hand between the rebar support and the steel pole. His right middle fingertip was amputated and his right index finger was lacerated.
