## Narrative

An employee was trimming snouts with a powered knife as they came down a conveyor. During a lull in product coming down the conveyor, the employee shut off the knife and made a few adjustments to tighten the blade. When the employee turned the knife back on, it oscillated in the employee's hand in a manner that caused the employee to lose control of the knife. The knife then hit the employee's face, causing a deep laceration to the left side of the cheek and mouth area.
