## Narrative

An employee was using an industrial drill press to add a 1" hole into aluminum castings. As he was removing the casting from the work surface, the glove on his right hand was caught by the rotating drill bit, pulling his little finger on to the cutting edge of the bit. His right little finger was amputated between the end of the finger and the base of the nail, above the first joint, with bone loss.
