## Narrative

A mechanic was attempting to remove a jammed metering pin from an aircraft landing gear strut with his hands. A co-worker was pressurizing the strut from the opposite end with a pneumatic air hose pressurized at 120psi. The pin dislodged, striking the mechanic and fracturing both arms and wrists. The employee was hospitalized.
