## Narrative

An employee used a push-stick in his right hand to push a piece of soft wood through a wood jointer to remove a 1/8 inch of wood from the board. He was using his left hand to guide the board through the jointer when his left-hand fingers came in contact with the jointer blade. The jointer blade completely amputated four fingers and partially amputated another finger. The jointer was guarded at the time.
