## Narrative

An employee was helping to steady a resin pump that was undergoing a troubleshooting test following maintenance on the pump. His finger entered the path of the pump coupling, which was moving up and down. When the pump closed, it pinched the his left index fingertip, resulting in a fingertip amputation.
