## Narrative

An employee was descending a wooden electrical pole line with his climbing belt, pull strap, climbing boots, and spikes. He unbelted in order to climb below the telephone lines. While he was putting his climbing belt back on with the pull strap, his spikes lost contact with the wooden pole, causing him to fall 20 feet to the ground and fracture both hips. He was hospitalized.
