## Narrative

An employee was providing bedside care to a patient with a catheter and was walking away from the patient when she tripped over the catheter, which was implanted into the patient at the time. In order to avoid forcible removal of the catheter from the patient, she attempted to adjust her fall. In the process of doing so, she landed awkwardly on the floor, resulting in a fracture of her left hip and left wrist.

She was hospitalized and required surgery.
