## Narrative

An employee was sitting in the cab of an excavator as employees were taking a trench box apart. A pin was pulled and the trench box's connecting bar went into the cab of the excavator, striking the employee's left leg and fracturing it below the knee. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery.
