## Narrative

An employee was cutting band iron on an ironworker machine. When he engaged the ironworker, the employee's fingers were smashed between the iron band and the base plate as the band was being cut by the ironworker. He suffered amputations of the right-hand middle, ring, and pinky fingertips below the nail.
