## Narrative

An employee was operating an overhead crane to lift a stabilizer from a test fixture. The stabilizer shifted and one end swung upward towards the injured employee, contacting his left forearm and trapping his thumb between the stabilizer and the crane remote sitting on top of the test fixture. He was able to use his other hand to raise up the stabilizer and release his hand. His left thumb tip was amputated.
