## Narrative

An employee was lifting an engine attached to a pallet out of a flatbed truck using a hydraulic hoist when the chains connected to the pallet and engine slipped, allowing the engine and pallet to roll toward the employee. The pallet with the engine struck him, tearing open his left arm and pushing his left knee sideways, causing tendon damage. He was hospitalized and had surgery.
