## Narrative

A forklift operator had just finished loading a trailer and was trying to return a dock leveler machine to its neutral position. The flap remained extended; as he tried to close it with his right hand, the dock plate lowered and pinched his right middle finger in the flap pinch point. The fingertip was amputated.
