## Narrative

Two employees were installing 2-by-4 wood framing for column furring around a structural column. One of the employees, working from an 8-foot step ladder, reached back to align or fasten a 2-by-4 to the top plate on a corner of the column. The 2-by-4 he grabbed gave way; he lost his balance and fell to the dirt pad below, suffering fractures to the hip and upper leg.
