## Narrative

An employee was unjamming a roller from a paper machine. The employee pushed on the roller to remove a roll of splice tape that was preventing it from ejecting and caught his right ring finger between the roller shaft and the machine frame. He suffered a crushed fingertip, which was medically amputated.
