## Narrative

An employee and a co-worker were performing asbestos abatement on pipes up in a roof area. The co-worker and employee had just lowered the manlift bucket to the ground when they heard the roof crashing down and ducked inside the bucket. The roof trusses gave way from heavy snow and rain. The employee's left thumb was smashed on the side of the bucket by a roof truss, resulting in an amputation.
