## Narrative

On February 17, 2023, the injured employee was assisting the operator of a projection welder machine as they were welding a coupling onto a hot water tank. The machine actuated, and the injured employee's left index finger became pinched between the head of the projection welder and the tank. The finger was partially amputated.
