## Narrative

A bricklayer had been working on a 5-foot scaffold frame, standing on a plank at a height of 3 feet. He was preparing to get off the scaffold when his foot slipped off the bottom rung, 1 foot off the ground. He fell to the concrete ground and suffered a broken left hip.
