## Narrative

An employee was using an overhead magnetic crane to lift a 1,200-pound I-beam from a rolling table. As the beam cleared the roller table, the lower end struck the floor, causing the crane to lose its magnetic lock on the beam. The beam fell and struck the employee on both legs above the knees, resulting in lacerations to both knees. The employee required surgery to repair tendon and ligament damage to the left knee.
