## Narrative

On March 5, 2024, at 1:15 p.m., an employee was walking up a paved road when she began to fall on ice and snow. She was wearing crampons for slip prevention at the time, but they grabbed the ground at an odd angle as she started to fall. The employee heard a popping noise and she fell, suffering a spiral fracture of the right tibia bone and a hairline fracture of the fibula. The tibia bone required surgery.
