## Narrative

An employee was operating a UTV on a ranch with a co-worker conducting soil samples. The employees were diagnosing a problem within the engine compartment of the UTV and noticed that a fuel line had melted near a connection. Upon starting the engine, pressure threw the hose from the connector, spraying gasoline onto the machine and the employee. The gasoline contacted a hot surface on the machine and ignited. The employee suffered burns to multiple body parts and was hospitalized.
