## Narrative

Tubulars were being tripped out of the well at a work-over rig. A tubular was unlatched from the elevator and pulled into the derrick. It came into contact with the front of the diving board and was jolted back under the blocks, causing it to bow. It struck the head of an employee on the ground who was numbering the tubulars and guiding them onto the tubing board, and he fell back. He suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
