## Narrative

An employee was climbing an extended ladder to access the attic at the fourth floor level to inspect and blow debris off a flat roof. He turned sideways and grabbed a hand blower that was resting on an A-frame ladder next to him. He went to move up when the ladder slipped and he fell 8 to 9 feet straight down to the concrete ground. He landed on his feet and sustained a fractured L4 vertebra.
