## Narrative

On 6/17/2025, an employee was working as a sub-contractor at a site. He was using a power drill to create holes in a stainless-steel hanger strap for an exhaust duct. He was holding down the strap with his left hand when the drill spun out. The strap wrapped around the drill and caught his right thumb. The employee's thumb was partially amputated at the first knuckle and required surgery.
