## Narrative

The injured employee was part of a road surface crew and was sitting on the tailgate of a company truck. When the driver attempted a right turn, the employee's left leg got caught between the lift gate and a compressor that was attached to the truck on a hitch. The employee sustained a severe laceration to the back of his leg.
