## Narrative

An employee was cutting dimensional lumber with a circular saw. The saw kicked back and made contact with the employee's left hand, causing a fracture of the ring finger, the amputation of part of the middle finger, and a laceration to the thumb. The employee was hospitalized, requiring surgery.
