On XXX, at about 4:59 PM, my 2026 Tesla Model Y (VIN [XXX], software 2026.27.11, FSD Supervised v14.3.10) was driving on Full Self-Driving (Supervised) near Past & Present, [XXX]. I was supervising, but I glanced at the navigation screen for a moment because the map was acting up. During that glance, the car turned right into a parking lot entrance that had a chain strung across it between two posts. It drove through the chain without slowing down or warning me. The chain damaged the front end, hood, fenders, roof glass, and roof frame. The repair estimate from Chantilly Auto Body CARSTAR is $8,303.17 (State Farm claim XXX), and the car will be in the shop for about a month. FSD didn't detect the chain, a common barrier at lot entrances, and it steered into a closed entrance. I reported this to Tesla by phone and was told I'd be contacted, but no one has followed up.
