Update to NHTSA complaint #11629630: The accident resulted in my vehicle being declared a total loss. Here is what happened the morning of the accident. When I first started my Genesis, the display went completely black, so I shut the vehicle off and restarted it. After I began driving, multiple unusual and misleading messages appeared on the screen. About 15 minutes later, I reached my destination and began to park. As I was parking, the vehicle continued moving despite my foot being pressed firmly on the brake. I had to steer into a wall to stop it. My foot remained firmly on the brake at impact. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist did not intervene, and automatic emergency braking did not activate as I approached a fixed obstacle. Based on the black display, warning messages, and reports linking ICCU failures to 12-volt battery drainage and staged loss of vehicle functions, I suspect the 12-volt battery may have been draining, and the vehicle’s systems may have been failing in stages. I believe the braking system may already have been impaired. I ask NHTSA to investigate whether an ICCU, 12-volt battery, electrical, braking, or related system failure contributed to the accident. I contacted Genesis the same day, and case #40071113 was opened. I contacted Genesis multiple times and asked it to analyze the vehicle’s computer data to determine the root cause. Genesis did not investigate the cause or respond to my requests; my calls were ignored. I ask NHTSA to consider r
